I am of mixed Choctaw descent. For about ten years I lived on the Powwow Trail, selling my art and visiting a different indian reservation every weekend all over the US. When poor health forced me to stop traveling, I learned how to make a living on the internet.
I have an 8 year old male mid-high content wolf dog for a pet who lives mostly in the house. I traded for him at a powwow when he was 3 weeks old. His husky mate died last summer. I hope to get him a new one when our 10 yr old dalmation passes, probably this summer.
Our old dalmation's kidneys stopped working 3 months ago, but our vet found two new wonder drugs called Epakitin and Azodyl that have kept him comfortable and active so far, and the vet says they might keep working for up to a year. These drugs somehow do the filtering previously done in the kidney through the bowel. It's amazing how well they are working, so far.
Our big wolfdog-proof pen is 60ftx30ft and we also have an extra small(10x30ft)holding pen available for acclimation. Our 6ft fence is heavy guage chain link, with a double gate system and two feet of concrete around the perimeter to prevent digging out. We can do temporary emergency fostering for wolfdogs or dogs in eastern Washington near the Canadian border. We don't have any kids or cats.
