About Me

computer geek by day....just geek by night :-) ...coming into his shoes each day and smiling along the way, and happily doing so for once! in this town founded by actual drivers that do the speed limit or lower!?!?!?!, accepting the life, blessings and new friends given me from God!

ps...also a warrior against the weeds in the front yard, fire ants in both front and back, crazy ridiculous amount of leaves in the back...and raising the ever growing cuter baylee...

Just me through a peephole in the door of life if you're looking and reading

My Interests

My familyEncounter Community Church (click here)My friendsMusic (the drums as I'm trying to learn)WritingReading Most importantly laughing

I'd like to meet:

Glorious hilarity for all to know, love, and laugh...

Music:

Currently playing out Jimmy Eat World, Chase the light...Colouslide....Paramore....Dashboard Confessionals...MercyMe....mixed in with a little Skillet, Red, The Rentals, a little spice of Weezer, a dash of Fiction Plane (freaking great live show here in Tally got me hooked!!)...the list goes on: Jeremy Camp, a little Flyleaf, Shawn McDonald, Mateo, 30 Seconds to Mars, Timbaland and occassionally a little old school Jack Johnson and Dave Matthews, even a little Toby Keith....yeah I'm lame I guess, music motivates me, makes me smile what can I say, I don't hate or discriminate
Everything by Lifehouse...on 9.9.07 in one of the worst places mentally and emotionally I've been in, I heard this song....it reminded me of my Father....just as I must keep sharp the pain that brought me to that place that night...I must keep sharp the acknowledgement that nothing I am, have or have done has been done by me, this song reminds me He's Everything and all I want

Movies:

Donnie Darko (great self-sacrifice in this movie, representative of Christ [see the out-takes]), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Island, Transformers (not bad for a cartoon to moive, actually really good in that regard), Kramer vs. Kramer (old but great), When Harry meet Sally (saw it young thought it funny, believe it still holds it's humour), Anchor Man (yeah, just pure comedy), Adam Sandler flicks, pretty much make me laugh even when I try not too (haven't see Reigh on Me, HATED Punch Drunk Love, but I give him grace as I myself pray for grace :-) ), Rember the Titans (still love it, and sure football movies have been played out as of late, but I pick it over Rudy anyday)...most recently, American History X (not a new movie, one I've seen scenes that made me uncomfortable, the ending I already knew (which just occured as I type and SHAZAAM!!! it hurts to see (amogenst other scenes)), but first time I've seen start to finish...and no humour here, sad ending, but feel it carries a good message admist crazy drama), Momento (great "idea for a film" but wanted much more from how it played out), Vanilla Sky, pretty much will give any action or comedy flick a chance, and even with the right "circumstances" a romantic-esque film... just listed a few that came to mind...movies are good

Television:

Pretty much love The Office....second only to The Simpsons (which seems to be growing weaker by the season)
Big Bang Theory...makes me crack up
Chuck...cheesy at times but I am a computer geek by trade
How I Met Your Mother...I've laughed each few times I catch it
Two and a half men, comes on here in Tally at a time normally I'd be watching a simpsons rerun in Orlando, what can I say I like laughing and do often viewing it
Family Guy and Futurama (now also on Comedy Central!!!) reruns on adult swim on cartoon network I often frequent
Also can't deny I'm an old school Cosby fan who watches those reruns occasionally with a bit of Fresh Prince of Bel Air :-)
basically I'm into laughing...sure I watch American Idol...only at the beginning, So you think you can dance, sure only when those like myself get up there and it makes me chuckle...sure I know laughings great I should watch CNN or as my pops says programs that talk about stocks or investments (blah, I'm not that old yet.....errr or am I?!?!)

Books:

Bible, Best Question Ever (Andy Stanley), Beyond the Influence, also re-reading Go and Sin No More and Purpose Driven Life....and of course some lame computer books to keep the tool "sharp" for my cert tests

Heroes:

Christ, the man sweat blood praying in a garden waiting to be taken. Had many chances to save himself, but He died for us all instead. I pray for just an ounce of that courage everyday....Other than that my parents who despite all odds are still together after all this time...and my little cousin Neal who threw down in Iraq as a marine (Lord knows I wouldn't have been on the field like him, but behind a computer monitor mapping out coordinates...and that's freaking courage people!), same guy who's now in the Navy (love and pray for that guy daily!)
