I like classic rock. Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, The Band, CCR,The Doors, Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Queen, Rush, Yes, David Bowie, and yes, I do have a special place in my heart for STYX! There are a lot of good bands that I grew up with, like Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, REM, Live, Stone Temple Pilots, etc... I am really into music. I am addicted to LOST. That stupid show has consumed my Wednesday nights for a while. I almost wish I wasnt so into it, but I am so hooked I have to see what happens next. I bet they dont even know where they are taking it, they just want to make it as outrageous as possible. The season finale literally made my head hurt.

I have read some good books in my day. I know it's kind of cheesy, but I loved Pride and Prejudice. I think that everyone in the world should be required to read 1984 at least twice. I also really liked Song of Solomon and The Old Man and The Sea. I love Hemmingway's short stories as well.Now that I am out of school for the summer, I have the chance to read for leisure, which doesn't happen very often. I just started reading Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman. It is a fairly interesting analysis of pop culture. I am not sure whether it is a perfect explanation of why society is so screwed up or simply the ramblings of a highly opinionated loser. It's probably a little bit of both. So far, I find it quite interesting.
