About Me

I'm a pretty interesting fellow. I train in Muay Thai Kickboxing and fight in amateur competitions. I set up a site for my trainer, Matee Jedeepitak, which you can visit if you are interested in Muay Thai Dragon Leg Muay Thai . There are also pictures of me getting my butt kicked from a few fights ago, so that's always fun.
I play lacrosse regularly, which I picked up a few years ago.
I run a semi-popular DVD Review website (I see a lot of movies) - The Jackass Critics . I bought the domain and started whipping up the code and design at work (Sssshh! Don't tell my boss) and it's just grown ever since. 4 years and running strong.
I like a wide variety of music and go to concerts as often as I can. I hope to some day slam dunk a basketball. I go to Bo Rics, and shouldn't (the last haircut was a doozy). People say I'm funny.
I'm in my first year of my Masters program at Walsh for Economics. Trust me, economics is cool. Ok, you may think not, but really... Walsh is awesome, very pleased thus far. Economics is kind of a funny fit with my day job, where I am a computer programmer. But over the past few years I have been taking a class or two a year at the local Community College and really dug the Macroeconomics class I was taking, so I decided to learn some more about it. I really enjoy learning and imagine I will be in an institution of higher learning for the rest of my life. Be cool, stay in school.
I really dig chili, so me and my coworker set up a website to review the local chili joints... Matt and Mark's Chili Trek .
As mentioned before, I am a computer programmer for the 9-5. I work for a small company that makes software for call centers. It's pretty much a completely normal job (assholes, cool people, annoyances, some laughs, the usual Dilbert-esque existance) but the development team I work with are all really cool guys. Plus work is about 2 miles from my house, so I am completely spoiled. I could make more money somewhere else but I am not too much into the rat race. I have pretty much everything I could want..
I have somehow manage to stumble my way into working part time at the glorious Hapros Concert Theatre doing roadie and security work. Yeah it's really a funny thought indeed. Lookit me, your mom is more intimidating.
See how diverse I am?

My Interests

Books:

I read mostly non-fiction. I've been on a macroeconomics roll lately, pounding in about 10 macro books over the past year. When I do read fiction I like trashy noir novels (the Hard Case Crime books are good). Of course I read a lot of graphic novels as well.
