Direct from the Florida Suncoast, comes the Tampa local Punk sensation, Neglected Superhero!
Members include John Apsey (vocals), Danny Long (guitar), Frank Khalifa (guitar), Mike Raimondi (bass) and Justin Fiscus (drums). Together, these musician/songwriters comprise a fresh, fun and refreshingly energetic group of showmen whose electrifying and infectious stage presence brings young audiences to their feet and up to the stage.
On December 28th 2003 Neglected Superhero took the stage for the very first time and stunned all who came to see the show. Their approachable and whimsical attitude has earned them a strong following in the tri-city area of Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater.
With the first show behind them, the following two shows were both Battle Of The Bands competitions. Neglected Superhero placed first in both. Their high-energy stage presence and song lyrics ranging from having fun, falling in love, and rough breakups, has endeared them to the wide variety of young audiences who come to hear (and watch!) them.
After quickly building a strong fan base and enjoying radio play in the Tampa Bay area, Neglected Superhero was invited to appear onstage with National Bands Riddlin Kids, Bayside, Spitalfield, HomeGrown, Halifax, Denver Harbor, Strike Anywhere, The Unseen, and The Loved Ones. Neglected Superhero also made an appearance at the Orlando Warped Tour in 2005. Later in 2005, life changes made it necessary to call it quits.
In 2009 members Danny Long and John Apsey decided to bring Neglected Superhero back. This time around they have more experience and one more musician to add to the fun and excitement. Look for your favorite superhero's to pick up right where they left off and blow up the Tampa scene like never before.
