Most of you probably know me from seeing me play on the local scene, if there is a scene to speak of. You may have noticed that the music Im writing is far different from what you've heard me play. If your not familiar with it, The style has been around for about 30 years and is referred to as ambient music, i.e; atmospheric, slow to medium tempo, keyboard oriented compositions. I've liked it for as long as I can remember but I really became interested years ago on my first of many visits to Europe. Over there its everywhere. The appealing part of it to me aside from its laid back feel is the absence of boundaries. I've tried to write pop/rock music many times before and I just can't seem to write one I like. I've been recording my version of ambient music for years and recently ive had alot of ideas so I thought I'd share them. Keep in mind that I am a novice in recording techniques so sound quality may be marginal on some songs. I'm learning. Hope you like the sound and if you'd like to listen to some great music from real ambient artists search your music download sources for Ulrich Schnauss, Thievery Corporation, Eastern Sun...too many to name. You can also listen to the ambient radio stations on iTunes.
