About Me

Publisher/Owner of Shadow Archer Press; http://www.freewebs.com/shadowarcherpress/ Editor of Fissure Magazine, a micro press indie adventure publishing short stories, rants, poetry, flash fiction, experimental art writing and photography. Seeker, addicted to mythology, cello music, weaving webs of words or silk, tearing into a canvas for therapy, transporting people to other places and the one and only place, literal, physical, spiritual, and sub-cultural. Born in Kerouac's hometown. Want to visit Prague and my ancestors in England, love the heft of a book in my hand, like them sprawled all around me, love to see them published, need more bookshelves. Must have music or I go flat, must create or I go psychotic, sometimes need to be alone for days, other times need influences and long discussions into the night and playing about in water or costumes, or dark seedy places that smell like the Moosehead Cafe. Need seaglass or stolen Greek mosaic pieces or mountain stones in my pocket. Handwritten notes as well. Hades is a cool place. If you damn me to hell, I'll have to consider what I've fucked up, and say, "Thank you, I knew I knew this all along."Places (influences): Shorty's, The Pendleton Street Arts district, Casabalnca's (now gone), Coffee Beanery (now gone), Coffee Underground but only when Charlie is working, Wit's End Poetry readings, Ground Zero Club in Spartanburg, The Whig in Columbia, Lupo's, Reynaldo's and le Bec Rouge in Hampton, NH, Village Studios, Flat Iron Gallery, the Handlebar, Gottrocks, the gate, Jones Gap, Bentley's bookstore (now gone) Leopard Street Coffee Co., the Village Cup, Shaggy's studio 9now gone), Dabney's studio, Rachel's studio hallway, Donna's studio (now gone), Julie's studio, Mark Mulfinger's studio, Vitti Gallery, The Dog Killer's rehearsal room (now gone), Heretec's rehearsal room (now gone), Morriah's rehearsal room (now gone), the Art Bomb.I read: John Fowles, Carl Jung, Brian K,. Byatt, Jeff, McDaniel, Iris Murdock, Lindsey Clarke, Scotty Tillotson, Sylvia Plath, Harry Mulisch, Jeran Shimoda Bolen, Keri Hulme, Brock Clarke...shit, I can't list them all, it would take too damn long.I study: Munch, Shaggy Randal, Pre-Raphelites, Burne-Jones, Modigiliani, Greg Flint, Rachel, Expressionism, Dave McKean, Nick Bantock, Bonnie Smith, Van Gogh, Utrillo, William Morris, Janina, Donna Nyzio's charcoals, William Blake. I smile when I hear: Apocalyptica, VAST, Cellar Dwellers, Kill Switch Engage, Led Zeppelin, Chopin, Ravel, Lacuna Coil, Dead Can Dance, Tool, Soundgarden, Queensryche, NIN, Jane's Addiciton, Fates Warning, Paradise Lost, Gary Numan, Ministry, Godsmack, the Cure, Ten Years, One Side Zero, Flyleaf, Pantera, Sepultura, Metallica, Faith No More, Perfect Circle, Stained, Disturbed, Shaitain Mazaar, Nyaz, Type O Negative, Shrine, Noxious, Thrill Kill Cult, Fields of the Nephilim, Rush, Voivod, Earshot, Scotty T. and The Disease, Moonspell.I don't beleive in: time, (especially linear) 5 senses, lack of paradox, what they all told me, what I'm supposed to do, colors as they see them, lack of meaning, boredom.

Apocalyptica, Carl Jung, John Fowles, Schopenhauer, the string theory phsycists, the particle accelerator scientists, Keirkegaard, Sartre, Munch, Modigliani, Kant, Van Gogh, Nick Tosches, Thomas Moore, James Hillman, Joseph Campbell, Jon Crosby again - my dad - for a longer session. Individuals who have woken up are trying to wake up.
