The Cave Studio is situated in the French old town of Nice 2 mins from the famous beaches of the Cote D'azur.
Nice has a vibrant atmosphere that drawn many artists down here to create from Picasso to U2. Engineer Nick Dawes was lead here by the music, the atmosphere and attitude of the French coastal town has to offer on a daily basis. From classic architecture to the fantastic weather.
The studio itself is the basement or "cave" (pronounced "cav" in french) of a 17th century Nicose building, the last occupants of the space were bakers approximately 100 years ago. Its a cosy and comfortable area to record anything from solo artists to full live bands with 2 in house kits (one acoustics one electronic).
The desk is a soundcraft digital 328 capable of recording 16 tracks simultaneously at 24 bit, along with the waves SSL channel strip its a great combination fro great quality demo's and pre production work.
With the engineer being a professional musician himself we understand the need for affordability and have priced the studio fairly at 130 euros per day (deals are available for block bookings).For artists travelling from over sea's daily rate is dependent on the accomodation needs of the artists and price reductions for the actual studio hire will be given when the studio hire plus accomodation cost prove to be finacially prohibitive.
