If I don't know you, I probably hate you. Seriously.

About Me

NEWSFLASH: I generally don't approve friends requests from people that I haven't met at least ONCE in person. So don't be dumb and add me because "I seem cool." That's lame.
So here's the deal. I really like laughing at really insignificant events. I find the most random things really enjoyable and often exhibit vast contradictions in my personality. For example, I love Asian food, but F-ing hate chop sticks. Bad example? DEAL WITH IT, ok.
I have an intense desire to avoid failure and have an inescapable need to always be right. I hate admitting mistakes or apologizing. It's a character flaw, so you're just gonna have to ACCEPT IT.
That being said, I love discussing current events and politics because I like to have my views challenged (i.e. I like to debate). My views would best be described as a mixture of conservatism and libertarianism (my favorite political theorist so far is John Stuart Mill). I believe in reduced government and regulation and am definitely pro-life (not for religious reasons, but for humane, biological reasons).
Nothing brings me peace like music. I'm HEAVY into Soul, hip-hop and R&B, but I like any genre as long as the song has a catchy melody and moderately well-written lyrics. For me, music is all about communicating a mood and feeling through vocal style. I despise the attitude that pop music is worthless. Take pop for what it is: good hooks coupled with beautiful people.
There are many things that I look forward to in life. I've become quite interested in traveling the country and the world. I have a fascination with architecture and large cities. My desire to travel was fueled by a trip I took to NYC this past summer, where I discovered that life actually exists beyond the West coast.
Right now, I'm a sophomore at the University of Washington in Seattle -- just trudging through the daily stresses of being a student and working (at Starbucks). It appears that I will be majoring is Psychology and Political Economy, but nothing is for certain. I've been known to be indecisive in life.
Ya'll know an Escalade be P-I-M-P...just wish I acutally owned one. I just read that these are the most commonly stolen vehicles, so apparently I have fantastic taste.
I love pop culture - it's superficial, mindless and a complete waste of time. But it fascinates me to no end! It's like a parallel universe that is always in flux, yet somehow it maintains substantial predictability.
You Are New York
Cosmopolitan and sophisticated, you enjoy the newest in food, art, and culture.
You also appreciate a good amount of grit - and very little shocks you.
You're competitive, driven, and very likely to succeed.
