LLD : Lesbian Line Dance

About Me

The Lesbian Line Dance was created out of the fact that being true musicians means that you usually have too many ideas for one project. So during an "unspoken" hiatus of another project a couple guys decided to push their "other" efforts into full force. And then during a night of dj'ing, one of these members looked out at the dance floor and saw "lesbians" crawl out onto the dance floor and start line dancing to of all things... KMFDM. So he says to himself, "That's all we need now, lesbians line dancing... DUDE! THAT'S IT! That's the name of the band!" And so name came to be.
So with the idea to push new ideas in all areas of music, especially the idea of "put yourself in a position you might not be so comfortable", these two guys starting creating LLD. Then came the rest of the members one by one. After a few months of writing some rock and roll, the band decided to start recording their first "album"... or ep as some might call it. Right before recording the band loses their singer Thomas Kleaver, and is replaced by local favorite Lucas Chatfield. Then, after a few months of having the album recorded due to personal conflicts withing the band, Lucas Chatfield had to leave the band, and later was replaced by his sister, Melissa. So with the first album record Melissa stepped into slot and wrote, and recorded. Dubbed "Greatest Hits", the band decided to skip all the early stages of the "music career" and move right into the middle and move from there to start working on "legend" status.
Months after the internet only release of "Greatest Hits", Melissa felt it necessary to leave to band due to health, and personal reasons. She felt the band deserved someone who was gonna be more committed. A friend of the band named Joel Deaton hops into the driver seat as lead singer, shortly after recording three songs and performs three shows with the band, his heart lead him into another direction. With the desire to push into the world of acoustic, Joel left the band.
Frustrated with their other guitar player Mike Stahl having "disappeared" from the band in the summer of '08, and the loss of so many vocalists, the band decides to send a word out for singers and few try one more time, but none really fit the drive and expectations that the band wanted. So Adam Godwin, the bands leader and main guitar player, makes the decision to take on the role of "singer". Already singing one song, "Why not take on the rest!" He thought to himself.
So after Halloween 2008, the band decides to take a break so Adam could focus on his new Tattoo Studio. EvoTat Nation: Tattoo & Massage. During the break that winter, tension between Adam and bass player Justin Maxwell. Maxwell's life has turned directions and his focus on the band wasn't as committed as it was a year prior. After recording "Greatest Hits", and doing personally doing the revisions and the re-recordings of it, Maxwell's intentions seemed to want to stay on the blues/heavy rock venture, and Adam was focusing on his heart's desire to pursue the psychobilly/rock n roll world.
So shortly after recording some demo songs to start the next set of songs that would later be the next album, Maxwell felt the need to re-record the first album for the fourth time, and also confessing the decision to wed. This sent the band into a downward spiral that band had a hard time recovering.
So now onto the Spring of 2009, the band with a stable drummer, and guitar player and vocalist, are looking for a stable bass player, and possible backup guitar player! And after months of tossing ideas around, the band consisting of the two members agreed to focus their efforts on continuing with the hard rock/blues motif.
And onto the Spring....
