~PRINCE: We the family and friends of Ronald Jimmy Spears aka Tay/Prince are celebrating his life this week. Tay left us early the morning of the 21st to return to god after celebrating his 29th birthday with friends. Tay was survived by his paternal father, brother, daughter, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and many many friends. Tay will be reuniting with his mother at the gates, in what we all know as a better place. R.I.P we love you Tay.... Update: Two killed in Oakland in separate shootings FROM STAFF REPORTS Article Last Updated: 08/21/2007 12:56:04 PM PDT OAKLAND _ An Antioch man's 29th birthday celebration ended in tragedy early today when he was shot by a man he had given a ride in West Oakland, police said. Ronald Jimmy Spears and two young women, 18 and 19, came to Oakland and stopped at a gas station at 55th and Market Streets about 1 a.m. to ask directions, homicide detectives said. They asked a man for directions and he said he could show them the way if they could give him a ride. The victim said yes, but as they drove down 55th Street, the rider pulled a gun and demanded cash from Spears, who was driving, police said. There was a scuffle and car, which was eastbound on Market, crashed, according to police. Once all four people were out of the car, the suspect shot Spears. The suspect fled without harming the two passengers, according to police.
