"new talent from the teknival french scene, [nayad] is a musical octopus who seemingly effortlessly blends together elements from electro, idm, experimental d'n'b and minimal electronica into a hypnotising and meditative brainstorm.

Sounds Like: "Transformers on Crack"
"Dope hard-techno that will blow up yo' speakerz !
This guy is a desktop music demon ; no really, he's diabolical."

"Dancefloor electro breakcore IDM fukin' Tunes."

WORM http://wormweb.nl
"Speedy hardcore techno artist from France."

STAALPLAAT http://www.staalplaat.com
"Pretty hectic electronic drums"

"nayad from france did electronic music and played on various partys, raves, chill-outs, galleries and workshops.
his styles varies from experimental french acid tek, idm crunchy dsp work outs and some breakcore.
was described by some as something inbetween aphex twin and stuff on ambush records, which is a lot.
he released a series of 12inches with a simple but charming design, straight like a white label. the tracks are simple entitled which you maybe can see on the records name."

R01-R05 ep : lovely dark atmospheres with chunky electrojungle breaks.
R06-R11 ep : harder and nastier than the one before, just the thing for those antisocial moods.
R12-R21 lp : more of an experimental techno feel to this bunch, reminds me in places of Speedy J's finer moments.

WRECKED http://rhinoplex.org/wrecked
R01-R05 : "Experimental breaks rooted in vaguely jungle or electro-like structures. Similiar to Dan Hekate's stuff. Strange."
R06-R11 : "Explosive experimental breaks, from mashed up jungle, to strange nuskool/electro breaks, to kicking acid."
R12-R21 : "Twisted experimental breaks/electronics. From funky acid breaks to harsh noisy breaks, chiming bass anthems, slow electro-jungle and hyper drill and bass."

HOTF History of the Future
R01-R05 : "Excellent & very promising debut recordings from far-out Frenchman Nayad. Part old-school Aphex Twin (chunky industrial-grade machine beats), part Ambush/Praxis (white noise/bass blasts/electronic stabs tweaked & transformed into spazzrhythmic singalong rollercoaster choruses), part Somatics (apocalyptic electro), part Cavage (off-kilter sense of elektrofunk for the dancefloor), yet the results are unlike anything I've heard from these producers. An original offering that shines brightly : dancing is encouraged, stoners welcome !"
R06-R11 : "Sir Nayad takes his tracks issued on 'R01 - R05', increases the "balls factor" by 10 points & reinvents them inna hardcore/breakcore stylee!"

TEKSHOP http://www.tekshop-records.com
R01-R05 : "hard breakbeat a la sauce mental."
R06-R11 : "breakcore couleur hardjungle."

Low/Entropy : "Neet and fluffy experimental drum'n'bass tracks with weird sounds and fx."

RAW42 : "NAYAD - this is great and very upbeat.

R02, is a musical run through the cyber reality of cyberpunk - a backdrop for any science fiction movie. heavy on the synth, it brings to life many concepts of teck gone awry, this is not to say it is unstructured, it is in fact structured very well. it is clean and something you would hear from european rave companies but maintains a sound of it's own. highly original.

R03 is clean tight bongo-trance/hypnotic stuff - close your eyes as i did and you will see the flashing colored lights of an all-out rave. this effect gives me the mind to say this guy could hit the big time rave scene central. you can hear the amount of time this artist has been doing this and although it is fresh, there is a wealth of experience making these tunes.

R04 - this is a calming, ominous, techno-thriller audio "cinema" that builds the tension like a classic b-movie. this one (like all these tracks) has a very clean recording and a ring of familiarity throughout the song and though it does play well, you can always tell it is nayad. it is very listenable and leaves you wanting more.

i would recommend these tracks to fans of hard-core techno rave and any consumer of electronic music. i have had a noise project for over a decade and i must say that nayad uses some very vintage and classy noise showing the intelligence found within this great act. the european industrial market would go ape for this. for the rest of us, we can only listen in awe - a great example of electronic music.
