who am i?
Hello, my name is Matt, I am a senior and I currently attend Waukesha South High School. I am an aspiring Mechanical Engineer, and will not discontinue my journey until I accomplish this goal. I have enrolled in an assortment of classes and extra curricular activities to help aid my progression. These classes include: Intro to Engineering, Principles of Engineering, Digital Electronics, Civil and Architectural Engineering, Drafting Co-op, and the profound program known as First (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology).
With my career ambitions set aside, I am a unique individual. First off, I am infatuated with my music. Music is what drives me. As a guitarist myself, it is difficult to find quality music that impresses me. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I was steered towards the extensive metal genre. I am often left awestricken as I hear the most unprecedented guitarist such as Herman Li and Alexi Laiho play mind-blowing solos with measures consisting of 16th and 32nd notes at speeds over 160 beats per minute. It is truly astonishing. Also, I appreciate more classical styles of music, from piano to orchestras and bands, all the way to some opera. I absolutely adore J.S. Bach. For anyone out there that question the meaning of Metal, I urge you to watch

When I am not listening to music I frequently find myself seeking new material and information on the internet for a plethora of websites. I am a rather intelligent person and enjoying expanding my knowledge. If I had to conform myself to a stereotype I would closely affiliate myself to a “geek.†I enjoy the widest array of hobbies to support this statement. However, there are way to many too list here. I am exceptionally honest and open with who I am, so just ask me if you would like to know more about my inner workings.
All in all, when it comes down to the core values that make me who I am, I adore my video games, and enjoy having a good laugh occasionally. My friends and family comprise who I am today, without them I’d be meaningless. And most of all, I enjoy the pursuit of knowledge. Nevertheless, I am not perfect, nor will I ever be. In my life, I've made tons of stupid mistakes, and later I regret them. And I've done it over and over again, thousands of times. A cycle of hollow joy and vicious self-hatred. But even so, every time I learned something about myself. It is through this that I grow stronger.*Note* This has not been altered in a while.
