I started writing music when music started to bother me, which was around the "Game Over" Lil Flip era. I found myself thinking along the lines of...
WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?
And then it really started to pop up everywhere. And so I sought shelter, turned the videos off, the radio, bought CD's and never looked back. My environment is my inspiration. In the specifications of who I am, I'll let you know when I know. I can tell you I'm not of the norm, that I've never really thought inside the box.
I am a poet,author,songwriter,composer,lyricist and everything else that can be accomplished with pen and paper. Eminem, Lupe Fiasco and Andre 3000 are my influences, and I think you know why.

CaTaLyst--I chose the name CaTaLyst
because its definition sorta defines
what type of artist I am.
A CaTaLyst
is a substance that initiates
or accelerates a chemical reaction
without itself being affected.
Where the substance(Catalyst) is
me, my music and the creativity I bring.
When mixing my style in with all the others
the chemical reaction occurs in the "rap game."
yet I will not change my focus
as other rappers and hiphop artists
have done in the past.
And that is to be myself.
Nobody can be me and noone can do it as well as I do it.
My inspirations include
Ludacris, Will Smith, OutKast, Young Jeezy, Lupe Fiasco,
Kanye West and Common.
Artists that will be themselves no matter what!
I do create beats and I am inspired by some of the best:
