David Papaleo

My name is David Papaleo, and I am a personal trainer at "Metro 24/7" located in Orlando Florida. I have been a competitive bodybuilder since 1986, and a personal trainer since 1989. In 1988 I won my first overall title in the teen NPC Atlantic USA and have since won overall titles at the 1989 NPC Teen Atlanta, 1989 Teen Southern Regionals (also placing 2nd in the Men's Open MW), the 1992 AAU Southern America, the 1994 NPC Eastern Seaboard, and now the 2008 NPC Debbie Kruck Classic. In thirty total competitions, I have only placed out of the top 3 four times. Two of those were 7th and 8th in the WPF Universe. So as it stands now, I have won overall titles competing from 3 different weight classes, in 3 different decades (LW, MW, LHW - 80's, 90's, 00's). With 2010 coming up (along with my 40th B-day), I've just got to go for it a little while longer! In the next few years I want to accomplish three things 1) An overall title in my 4th decade of competition. 2) For that overall title to be in a national level competition (Masters Nationals, Jr. USA, or Jr. Nationals are my best shots I think). 3) To earn a pro card.... Pretty tall order, I know - but hell, if I am going to try to climb a mountain - I say make it a high one!! So check in with me every so often, as I will be posting progress pics over the course of my off season and contest prep. The first planned competition will be the 2009 NPC Excaliber in Los Angeles where me and my bro Caesar (5th in the SHW Jr. Nationals-2004) will be shooting to take the LHW and SHW classes before stepping out on the national stage in 2010.
