"I BELIEVE IN MANICURES. I BELIEVE IN OVERDRESSING.I BELIEVE IN PRIMPING AT LEISURE AND WEARING LIPSTICK. I BELIEVE IN PINK. I BELIEVE THAT LOVING IS THE BEST CALORIE BURNER. I BELIEVE IN KISSING. I BELIEVE THAT HAPPY GIRLS ARE THE PRETTIEST GIRLS. I BELIEVE THAT TOMMOROW IS ANOTHER DAY AND I BELIEVE IN MIRACLES." -AUDREY HEPBURN
I grew up in a small town in North Carolina. I can name just about everyone who lives in each house up and down main street. Everyone knows who you are and your parents parents’. And your entire family lives on the same street and everyone congregates for dinner every Sunday at “granny’s†.I spent most of my time as a young girl playing outside without a care in the world. I had a fascination with free lemonade stands. I loved old things from flea markets and I am very fond of this old coin that was given to me when I was a kid. I wonder of the hands it passed through before it made it to mine. I loved dressing up in fancy dresses like I was living in the 30’s. I was a dreamer….however,
Somewhere along my travels of existence… I was a grownup girl. didn't have to check in with anyone, just opened the door and went. Slept in my stilettos’ if I didn't feel like taking them off. I could spend all my money on fake handbags and mambas if I wanted but then I also had to figure out just how I was gonna pay my phone bill. Verizon has no sympathy for fashionable girls with pockets full of yellow and orange candy wrappers.IT all boiled down to me being a small town girl who started a life for herself that was “subtly unstable†for the normal person who needed structure…. Just a girl trying to live her dream.I believe in Karma….I have managed to piss off the “gods†a time or two…(ok add a couple zero’s behind that…) ha! My “claim of fame†is certainly not by being perfect.I believe in fate…I stay true to my faith and ask for guidance from the good lord now and again.I have managed to evolve into quite the woman . I do live in reality now however, I still love dreaming (although ive found a better time for that). I’ve become very fond of a man who wears a uniform and shaves everyday. I like every single thing about pomegranates. Even the stain that’s left on your fingertips. I've got an amazing wardrobe that I don’t wear half of…I have an unusual crave for asparagus on Tuesday nights. I have a house full of old things that I’ve collected through the years and pass offs from my mother and cant seem to keep a plant alive for very long…
I am the PROUD mother of a 7 year old little lady who dreams just as much as I did when I was young. Laney Marie Golightly. She is so full of life. She loves to sing into her brush in the mirror at night after bath time. She plays dress up in all of my clothes. We love Going to the movies and eating lots of popcorn and gummie bears. We have become frequent flyers to our relaxing spot called "Works of Clay" (I always have to allow for 2 visits a month in our budget) Its complete sernity...Painting and music...We have hula hoop contests and she always wins...Shes into dancing...Really, Shes in her 2nd year of Hip Hop Dance class..."My girls got Skillz" Our idea of a picnic is throwing an old blanket down in the front yard and ordering wings from Dominos, although as she grows we enjoy grilling more healthier foods. We enjoy reading books about rocks and scary monsters, She loves to tell me stories. They usually start with a Princess or Queen named …“Mommyâ€. I’ve noticed as I Watch her grow and evolve into who she’s going to be that, its happening so fast now a days. Just a blink ago she was in the car on the way home from the hospital with a very scared, “OMG! She’s crying what do I do“… mama. Now she’s riding the bus home to a “very excited, cant wait to hear about her day†mama…then asking when we get home, "mom can I get online"...Kids these days. She constantly amazes me.
I am married to a 29 year old super hero action phenomenon. HE is the best friend I never had...We have made our relationship work through the hardest circumstances. Until just recently we both claimed to each have a second home in another state. So, Our suitcases were never fully unpacked for over a year and a half. We share everything. Including a birthday, and we have a child on the way..Miss.Isabella. Im so happy to give him the gift of being a father. He does great with Laney and Loves her just like she were his own. I know that I can count on Cris for anything. He puts our family first and we make a great team. He was exactly what I needed in my life at the time we met. There were NEVER any doubts of our strong connection and love we shared. I know If my day needs to be saved..Hes the one to do it! We keep on moving forward living our life with each other and expanding our hearts for each other and our family memember each day. We are happily residing in Wake Forest, Nc. In our great home we have made together do we have great times that will last forever in our hearts and as memories in our minds.South Main has my heart, Most of the happiest times in my life occurred on this street. I know what feels like home. And this street more now than ever, bc our family is together..I have managed to find a great time to dream. And that’s at night when I lay my head down and close my eyes.
