Dead City Dealers

Streetpunks... without the streets.

About Me

This is where we're supposed to say things like, "Once upon a time, five punks from Pennsylvania did blah blah blah", but no one really cares about that, do they? Everything you need to know is to your left and hopefully playing out of your speakers. We play loud, raw, and pissed off rock 'n roll. We don't pretend to be anything we're not. If you like what you hear, that's great. If not, it don't really matter. We're not trying to be anything special, or particularly original, and mass appeal isn't really our fuckin' agenda. In a time when saying "We're trying to get rid of the cliches" is, in fact, a cliche, we state unapologetically, "We're a rip-off".
Things we're about:
--Making a racket.
--Acting like idiots.
--Causing a ruckus.
--"Real" punk ('77-style, streetpunk, UK82, old style hardcore, Oi!), '70's glam, roots rock (rockabilly, rhythm & blues, early pop, '60's garage, surf rock).
We're also into other things individually... We'll listen almost anything as long as it doesn't blow (like most music does).
--Re-establishing a punk scene in New Castle and Youngstown.
--Beer.
Things we hate:
--Hippies.
--Racists.
--Liberals.
--Conservatives.
--Greed.
--Consumerism.
--The RIAA.
--The PLCB.
--Self-righteous musicians.
--Pretentious fuckholes.
--Rip-off scam artists who own clubs and pretend they give a fuck about the local music community.
Come to our shows, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah.
ATTN CLUBS AND PROMOTERS:
Dead City Dealers DO NOT sell tickets!! We're not TicketMaster. Under very special circumstances we MAY agree to sell tickets for an event, but it better be a good reason. Otherwise, DO NOT ask us to sell tickets, and don't give us tickets to sell, THEY WILL GO INTO THE FUCKING GARBAGE. Or we'll sell them and keep all the money and tell you we lost 'em, or not even show up at the gig. Just giving you fair warning.
Dead City Dealers DO NOT pay to play, and we DO NOT play for free (unless it's a New Castle show), GAS COSTS MONEY!! Cheapskate venues be warned!!!
Dead City Productions
In an attempt to eradicate all the FAKE promoters and production companies that seem to be rising up everywhere and to FINALLY bring back good bands and music to New Castle. Mario, alongside girlfriend Joey Lynn, have started Dead City Productions
What they do is pretty simple.
If you're a band, they will find you shows. If you're looking for a specific date, let them know, and they will see what they can do.
If you're a bar, they will find you live entertainment for a specific night at your establishment. If you've already got a show set up, and need a few more bands, they will find you bands.
They also make all of their own advertisements, and promote everything themselves by means of the Internet and by printing out fliers to litter the town with. FREE OF CHARGE TO BANDS. They do not require bands to sell tickets or "pay to play". If you've booked a show with them, you don't have to worry about the advertising part of it-- they have got it covered, trust them.
If you're just looking for someone to make an advertisement, flyer, or even a personal banner for your band site, they are the people to contact for that as well.
You can contact either Mario or Joey Lynn (Starbrite JL) if you have any questions about anything, or want to set something upDead City Productions

Sounds Like: Oi Oi music being played (poorly) by punk rockers from a small town.

As far as other bands go, at times we sound like Sham, other times it's the Exploited, or the Unseen, or Oxymoron, or Iron Cross. Sometimes we sound like The Business. Or the 4 Skins. Sometimes we even sound like Dead City Dealers. Like this:

Record Label: Zombieland Productions (fake imprint)
Type of Label: None
