The Official Franz Ferdinand Fan Club
You'll be pleased to know the band's Fan Club isn't one of those 'hand over exorbitant sums of money' in return for access to a part of the website with 'exclusive fan club content' on it type outfits, no siree!
The FF:FC as we like to call it round these parts is an old school fan club, where you'll actually receive a superb glossy magazine to studiously thumb through, along with other assorted FF goodies, such as a membership card, free give-aways and a whole lot more...
A Club Run By Fans, For The Fans
Background: The fan club was formulated by a fan after having proposed the concept to the band, they thought it was an excellent idea and so heralded the inception of the band's Official Fan Club - Alex Kapranos: "He was talking about an old-school fan club rather than an internet one. We liked that idea."
Why Join?
Upon joining, a Fan Club pack will be dispatched to wherever you happen to be residing in the world, whether this be Glasgow or Greece, New York or New Zealand, or any other destination around the globe for that matter.
The FF:FC pack will comprise of the following:
* Your first issue of the FF:FC magazine, along with any gift, which should so be accompanying that issue
* Your very own FF:FC membership card
* Postcards of the band
* A set of FF badges and stickers
You'll then subsequently receive a further two complementary issues of the FF:FC magazine, along with various other benefits, such as discounted FF merchandise and entry to the odd Fan Club show here and there at a vastly reduced price, should the band so happen to announce one in your respective locality... All this, for the period of one year after purchasing the Fan Club pack.
Upon the passing of a period of one year after having purchased the Fan Club pack, if you wish to still enjoy all the benefits that come with being part of the Fan Club, you will need to renew your membership.
If you needed further incentive to join, as if what we've outlined already wasn't quite convincing enough, your initial membership pack will be accompanied by an exclusive 7" vinyl single, which will be adorned by none other than the track 'Swallow Smile'.
'Swallow Smile' is probably the most highly sought after track in the band's history, what with it never before having been committed to vinyl, disc, tape or any other recording medium for that matter and only having been played live in the embryonic days of the band's existence. Best hurry though as the single is of a strictly limited nature!

The cost of the Fan Club is dependent on your geographical locality, and is worked out as follows:
* £13 if you live in the United Kingdom
* £16 if you live in Europe
* £19 if you live Anywhere Else In The World
All prices stated are fully inclusive of postage & packing and taxes.
