Mara Trax is a musical project from Maayan Nidam, aka Miss Fitz, and Vera Heindel. The first connection between the two was each other's music. In 2006 Maayan heard Vera play in a party at Weekend Club - Berlin, while Vera was already familiar with Maayan's productions. At that time Vera had been a DJ for 6 years and was producing music on her own for one year, while Maayan had been producing for 9 years and djing for six. When they met in person they both felt there was a personal and musical connection they shared, so they decided to meet again, hang out and get to know each other better. Those gatherings led to an extended exchange about music, at which they played records to each other, talked about music and went out to different parties and clubs. Soon after they decided they want to make music together. Their passion for raw, old school house grooves built the base for cooperative productions and dj gigs. Since then, the Mara project manifested itself in several DJ gigs (Panorama Bar, Robert Johnson, Arena Club, Club der Visionäre etc.) as well as on vinyls being released on the labels Cyclical Tracks (Madrid) and Oslo Records (Frankfurt).
