2000 miles east of LA, in the Soulful City of St. Louis, Mo. is where Martin Murphy first picked up the saxophone at the very young age of 10. Following in his father's footsteps, Murphy quickly realized that he had been Blessed By God with a natural musical talent that is evident in his "Tasty" sound. Studying under the direction of several professional teachers at the Visual & Performing Arts schools in St. Louis earned him a full scholarship to Howard University. After a short stay in D.C., Martin decided that the west coast was where he wanted to showcase his skills. Playing in many venues and on stages of all sizes, The Murphy's Law Project featuring Martin Murphy can be heard throughout Southern California when he's not traveling throughout the country. Attributing his gift to God, Martin states, "Music is a language!"
"Music speaks to my soul. It allows me to speak a language that can not only be heard but can be felt. Hold on to your emotions cause I'm gonna make you feel it."
