"Hailing from San Francisco, Callow came into its own in 2008 and started when singer-songwriter Gared Moses (UT) and bassist Tim Watson (OH) met in Salt Lake City, Utah a few years back. After meeting drummer Tony Esterbrooks (NE) via craigslist and hashing some material out together, guitarist Rob Goodson (CA) soon joined the band, bringing the growth of Callow full circle.At a time when like-minded bands all seem to be focusing on assorted experimentation, Callow has focused to produce a taut, engaging, back to basics sound that transcends the pre-fab indie mold, combining household and timeless influences that mix punk, rock, bop, folk, and jazz undertones into a serrated, complex, and sometimes haunting reverberation that draws the listener in and does not let go.Currently in final production, Callow's inaugural album is scheduled to be completed and released in the coming months.
