I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

We are made up of so many different layers that it is almost impossible to say anything about yourself that can just be contained in this small space. So, I guess, I'll just riffle off what is important. My family (which includes my selected circle of friends) are a major part of my life. Men can come and go, but these people are the ones that keep me sane and grounded. My loyalty to them and theirs to me is what I cherish the most. Though I've been told, by those who know me best, that I am the wise and quiet one of the bunch (though with these people how anyone could get a word in edge wise, I'll never know, lol), I love to laugh and cut loose, especially on a dance floor (but NO disco, NO techno an NO dance music, pleeeease!). I am of the belief that if anything is meant to be, whether in love or in life, it will happen without enticement or provocation. I value honesty and cannot abide gameplays. At this point in my life, I've realised that if you can't be yourself, then you are nothing. Since BS is a waste of my time and I have no use for it, come into my home if you so wish, you are welcome, but keep it real kids!

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Oprah often asks her guests if they could have a dinner party and invite five guests who would they want...well here are my picks: - Mary Magdalene, to see what she was really like without all the hype from the Church (oh, the stories this woman could possibly tell), - Charles Bukowski so I can discuss how his poetry is some of the greatest work I've read (though he would probably just sneer and ask me to pass the booze), - Bruce Springsteen for his body...of work (mind out of the gutter now, people), - Bill Maher cause he is, by far, one of the funniest people I've seen, - Evel Dick from Big Brother 8 cause...well...every woman loves a bad boy (LOL). I'll tell you this much about this bunch, they wouldn't be boring...

My Blog

Its all about ideology!

So now it's on. We are going to the polls on October 14. Stephen Harper, or like he is now nicknamed "Uncle Stephen", would like us to believe that his minority government is not working. That's news ...

Being honest about&personal accountability

The Art of Intent

Through all the pretty pictures, Canvases of hued artistry, By my brush released, Through all the pretty words, Tomes of prosaic mastery, By my pen unleashed, The self vainly feeds On the praise and ...

Being honest about...original thought

I haven't found the impetus to write much poetry lately. It feels like I've been rehashing the same things in every piece. I can't seem to find the creative juice to come up with new stuff as much as ...

Sadness

The bile of unfulfilled dreams, The weight of past sins, The sweeping swill of anger, The ever present pang of loss. Bleak, brown and thick, Abscessed pain unleashed By things thought forgotten. The...
