Photography Bio:"Changing the way you see the world" to most people would commonly be viewed as a catchy phrase or clever slogan for mainstream advertisement, but for Siobahn A. Philemon, a Freelance Photographer native to Washington DC, these very words are the foundation on which she has built her dream, "aS.A.P".
Noted for her surreal, unique and often artistic imagery and style, Siobahn, the self taught photographer, made her way on the scene her very first year as a Fashion Photographer while shooting in many places across the world including New York, Africa, and all throughout the Caribbean.
At the tender age of thirteen, her innate passion for life and nature prompted her to pursue a hobby in photography; a hobby she kept clandestine and sacred for many years. True to the vision of the artist, her first photograph was a portrait of her mother, Andrea Philemon, on a family vacation in Trinidad & Tobago. From then on she was obsessed and fascinated with photography. In fact, it wasn't until a discussion with her father about her passion; she then discovered he too had once been an aspiring photographer in Trinidad & Tobago.
Amazed by this discovery, her hobby was given life to a deeper meaning and seemingly greater purpose to fulfill; something she now wanted to share with the world. Shortly after the discussion with her father, an idea ignited, and from it, as simple as her initials, aS.A.P was originated.
Throughout the years and hard work that followed the inspiration, love, and dedication that sparked the idea for "aS.A.P" would remain to be embraced; affording her the opportunity to shoot for various Editorials, Celebrities, Fashion Shows, Red Carpet events and to travel around the world to capture beautiful sceneries and historic events through fine microscopic imagery that would propel her success.
Today, she is more than pleased to announce her dream has been seen and the path paved before her continues to be traveled. Siobahn A. Philemon, "Changing the way you see the world" is not just a catchy phrase or clever slogan...it's "As Simple As Perfect"…[LOVEMYFLASH][/LOVEMYFLASH]
