Joel Bremer

Joel Bremer is among Sweden’s top folk musicians and fiddle teachers of his generation. He combines a unique knowledge of older folk traditions with a deep and personal expression.His musical foundation was built by playing with the masters (Ole Hjorth, Pers Hans Olsson, Simon Simonsson, Anders Sparf, Hans Lisper and Wille Toors, to name a few), as well studying at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. After three years at the musician’s program he also studied the music education program to be able to fully pursue his big passion, teaching. Today he works with students of all levels and ages, both individually and in groups.Joel’s talent as a solo artist was recognized and honored with the Bror Hjorth Award, where the jury stated, "For a brilliant technique, a sharp ear in capturing the different styles, a playing full with feeling and a constructive creativity."Joel currently plays with pianist Arne Forsén, fellow fiddlers Ole Hjorth, Jon Holmén, Hans Röjås or Pers Hans, as well as in solo performance.
