Luis Maier- born in 1972 in Honduras.17 years ago while living in Toronto-Canada he realized his place was around music as well as people. He was a member of his high school band for 4 years, dedicated to percussion. In 1990 he is offered a second hand pair of turntables, mixer and a crate of house music records. Frankie Knuckles, Fingers Inc., Fast Eddie, Inner City and Todd Terry had a great influence on the style on music he chose to play then… His early days as a Dj were full of long nights in the fast growing club scene of the great Metropolis. Holding residencies in clubs such as The Tasmanian Ballroom, The Go-Go and RPM(now called the Guvernment). In 1995 he returns to Honduras with professional dj gear and several crates of records, he finds his place for the next 9 years in the Bay Islands of Honduras. Organizing and playing at Full Moon parties and Beach parties’ throughout the year. In 1996 together with a group of friends SUNJAM is created . SUNJAM : The annual festival now recognized as the biggest and most expected electronic music event of Central America is held on Water Cay .On the island of Utila , off the coast of Honduras. www.sunjamutila.com In 2003 he travels to Santiago Chile, he quickly filters into the scene there and is called to play at one of the top 5 clubs in America at the time , Club La Feria. www.clublaferia.cl In 2004 back in Honduras and dance music is nearly obsolete ….. Together with Balto they create "Colors Promote Group", promoting dance music events in the country. This agency has allowed him to take part in events alongside names like Tim Skinner, Dave Preston , Habersham , Erik Prestinary , Aaron Wells , Melissa O , Ofo Nuñez , Francis Davila , Oliver Klein , Chaser , Phillip Charles , Austin Leeds , Lexx , Martin Accorsi , Kammy , Preach , Jason Jollins,XPANSUL,Karlos Elizondo,Chris Fortier.Playing opening sets for international Djs as well as headlining for national shows his sets are known as trips of exiting scales ranging from deep-tech to groovy tecno .Now holding a monthly Club Night @ ULTRA in Tegucigalpa.
