Narcicist.
The word "narcicist" comes from Narcis,
a Greek mythological character.
Narcis was a vey good looking young man.
Many women had fallen in love with him,
but he was too proud and vane and he would reject all of them.
One of the rejected women was the ninfa Eco.
Eco was hurt and locked herself up in her room without food or water.
That is how she slowly consumed herself with pain,
until she vanished and all that remained was her voice,
which repeateded itself against the walls of the room.
Thus the word "echo."
The goddess Nemesis (the goddess of vengeance)
heard Eco’s prayers and decided to punish Narcis so he
would suffer in the same way as she did.
One day Narcis went to drink water from the river.
As he stooped down to drink he saw his own face reflected in the water.
Nemesis used her powers so that Narcis would fall madly in love
with that image.
Narcis could not stop looking at himself.
He wanted to touch his image and hug it,
but he couldn’t because it would disappear in the water.
He also could not see it since the waves of the river would not let him.
He could not go away since the image would disappear.
That is how he stayed trying to admire himself until he died of starvation.
The word "narcicist" refers to someone that loathes him or herself,
considering him/herself superior to all including his friends and even his
spouse.

Bandbiography Classic Narcicist (English)
Just one moment can change everything.
All Overwhelmed, in shock and confused I (Sadhana Lila – Vocals) was watching an almost magical show in poptemple ‘Paradiso Amsterdam’, my first rockconcert.
Not knowing that this day would change my life forever.
Never before have I been blown away by an experience like this.
Never before have I been impressed this much by anything.
The óh so energetic audience, the deafening screaming fans which contained some that would pass out around every five minutes or burst out into tears.
The adrenaline, the sound, the lights and ofcourse the band itself, everything and by that I mean everything was amazing that evening.
Like this, exactly like this is how life is supossed to be.
If only I could affect people like this, if only I could inspire them like this while enjoying it so much.
A few months later while i’ve been learning all about this scéne, I decided to create my own band.
Practicing, creating music, recording songs, performing, touring, meeting new people, seeing the world...
This was and still is my ultimate dream.
Together with a friend I started the endless long road.
Eventually ‘Classic Narcicist’ existed.

The longer it took, the more impatient I got.
Many people have been involved with it.
I kept trying, but unfortunately only I did.
After a long search it finally went better in 2008 with the band and we even got to perform in “Het Paard van Troje” and on ‘Shopping night’ during ‘The Hague Festivals’.
Its not easy to get there and to show that we where really greatfull, we decided to make a real spectacle of it.
Covers, our own songs, acts with models dressed in theatrical outfits who where smothered in make-up, everything was present!
It was a real succes and the audience also enjoyed it, they kept screaming for more, even after our encore song!
In the same period we also managed to get on the 4th place in the top 40 of ongekendtalent.nl.
We appeared in the Sanoja Entertainment Magazine chartlist on the 8th place and one of our first songs was aired on Surya Radio!
Our newest song called ‘Avoid Exposure’ has made its debute on Vestingstad radio in january 2009.
Everyone in the band is extremely enthousiastic and prepared to work hard for it in the future.

The band is influenced by bands like: Panic At The Disco, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, Arctic Monkeys, Blink 182, No Doubt, Taking Back Sunday, Flyleaf, System Of A Down, Linkin Park, The White Stripes and a lot more.

Bandbiografie Classic Narcicist (Dutch/NL)
Één moment kan alles veranderen.
Helemaal overwhelmed, in shock en verbaasd stond ik (Sadhana Lila - Vocalist) in oktober 2006 in Poptempel ‘Paradiso Amsterdam’ te kijken naar een bijna magische show, mijn eerste rockconcert.
Wist ik veel dat deze dag mijn leven voorgoed zou veranderen.
Nog nooit heeft een ervaring als deze mij zo betoverd.
Nog nooit ben ik ergens zó onder de indruk van geweest.
Het óh zo energieke publiek, de oorverdovend gillende fans waaronder enkelen om de 5 minuten flauwvielen of in tranen uitbarstte.
De adrenaline, het geluid, de lichten en natuurlijk de band zelf, alles maar dan ook alles was geweldig die avond.
Zo, Precies zó hoort het leven te zijn dacht ik.
Kon ik mensen maar op zo een manier raken, kon ik ze maar inspireren en er zelf zo erg van genieten.
Nadat ik me enkele maanden had verdiept in deze scène besloot ik met die gedachten een band op te richten.
Oefenen, muziek creëren, nummers opnemen, optreden, touren,
doorbreken, nieuwe mensen ontmoeten, de wereld zien...
Dit was en is nog steeds mijn ultieme droom.
Samen met een vriendin begon ik aan de eindeloos lange weg.
Uiteindelijk ontstond: ‘Classic Narcicist.’
(Het woord "Narcicist" komt van Narcis, een Grieks, Mythisch karakter die verliefd werd op zijn eigen spiegelbeeld).
Hoe langer het duurde, hoe ongeduldiger ik werd.
Er zijn veel mensen bij betrokken geweest.
Ik bleef moeite doen, maar dat kwam eigenlijk alleen maar van mijn kant.
Na lang zoeken is het een tijdje heel goed gegaan met de band in 2008.
We mochten optreden in ‘Het Paard van Troje’ en op “Shopping Night” tijdens ‘The Hague Festivals’.
Je komt hier niet zomaar te staan en om te laten zien hoe dankbaar we waren hebben we er ook echt een spektakel van gemaakt en alles uit de kast getrokken.
Covers, eigen nummers, acts met Modellen gekleed in theatrale outfits en gedompeld in make-up, alles was aanwezig!
Geslaagd was het zeker en ook het publiek genoot ervan, ze bleven schreeuwen voor meer, zelfs na de encore!
In dezelfde periode hebben we ook in de top 40 van ongekendtalent.nl gestaan op de 4e plaats maar liefst!
Ook verschenen we in de Sanoja Entertainment Magazine Chartlist op 8 en één van onze eerste nummers werd gedraaid op Surya Radio!
Ons nieuwste nummer “Avoid Exposure” heeft in januari 2009 zijn debuut gemaakt op Vestingstad Radio.
“We werden overspoeld met reacties, zouden jullie in de studio willen komen optreden?” Aldus Vestingstad Radio.
Iedereen uit de band is laaiend enthousiast en is bereid er hard tegenaan te gaan in de toekomst.

John is having a blast in the USA,
Jonathan is in far away Singapure and the rest of the mirror-self-reflection-loving band are doing their time in dear old Holland!
This is torture! Ofcourse, sometimes it's good to get away for a breathe or two.. but this, this is tortureeee!
I gratuated, got my diploma, got accepted on a few schools (still undecided which one i'm going to pick), finally got rid of the stress (which most of them was created by school!), got a lot of free time and got so much inspiration for new songs!!
Impatient as I am, I still have to fight against myself and wait a little bit longer to kick off a new chapter together with the band. Expect a lot of new material coming up, Soon....... that is, If I survive the waiting.

Pff.. these last couple of weeks where pretty weird.
Everything went so fast, like a train on speed.
May 9th was definately one of the highlights.
Damn, I've never been this possesed of music.
When I'm not standing on the stage i'm actually a very shy girl.
On stage I totally become someone else.
But back to May 9, It was a hell of a party.
The crowd went crazy and they kept saying that it was the best performance of that day!
We're buys writing new song and we're ready to perform again on June 6 in Waddinxveen.

And I also want to say to my fellow bandmates, Johnny, Jonathan, Gerard and of course Sadhana: I Love You!!
We're Gonna Rock! So keep an eye on us.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!
I JUST CAME HOME..... I've a million things to tell you..
Where to start?
The thing is.. If I get started I won't be able to stop..
Well, what the hell lets just start.
We had a gig in Reeuwijk at Loose end..
I asked the audience to jump and scream and rock as if they where insane and possesed..
Hell fucking YEA they did!! They even climbed on stage.
Seriously, how the hell can I describe this evening??
I CAN'T!! You have to see the footage that we will put online as soon as we have it.
The show was recorded on camera by a professional crew, can't wait to see it. I've also filmed some parts with my camera, I'll put that online as soon as I can.
I'm so fucking hyper right now..
If you where there, you would understand what I mean.
I Knew that this show would be awesome..
But It turned out to be even greater than our big shows in Paard v. Troje and the one during shopping night. That was NOTHING compared to this.
All the supporters who where there and who danced as if it was their last time.. You have no idea how much I adore you guys!
We're so thankfull.. thanks for making it UNFORGETABLE! Thank U!!
At first I was kind of scared cause there weren't many people, the adience was quiet empty the whole day before 21:00, but as soon as we started to play it got really crowded.
I live for experiences like this!!

I have to say it, I want to say it.. Carmen, John, Gerard, Jonathan, I LOVE YOU GUYS! I LOVE YOU! There, I've said it.
I NEED to stop right now, I've so many things to do, I really got a sick energy boost after the performance, I have to write down all the idea's for new material for Classic Narcicist.
Btw, You must have noticed, i've put all the songs offline on myspace cause we will start professionally recording this monday.

We are busy preparing for the big performance thats coming up on Queensnight.
Jonathan Chua, our guitarplayer is going back home to Singapure and will be back on the 8th of May, so he won't be performing with us during queensnight (29-04-'09) and during the first round of Schollestok (7-05-'09).
Fortunately the old guitar player of Classic Narcicist: Raynier van Dam is able to replace him till he returns.
Ooh, now that we're talking about Raynier,
The band became extra dangerous.
We now have Johnny the Gatecrasher and Raynier who fuckes up his car like EVERY BANDPRACTICE haha.
He loves to hit his car against a tractor and he likes to leave blue paint of his car on walls.
It is kind of weird that it ALWAYS happens when Sadhana is around.. haha, weird, very weird.

Guys, seriously.. 6 words: HOLYYYYY HELL..
Today is another day I won't ever forget, even if I wanted to, I won't!
It started terrible but ended magically.
First of all, I've experienced a lot things, but this one beats them all,
Saturday morning at 7 I almost died, we had to call 911 and I was taken to the hospital.
I kept fainting and I had some kind of SICK, spastic, panic, hyper, epileptic, but most of all shocking attack.
It kept repeating itself really fast. I was alone downstairs, I couldn't scream, I tried everything but I had no control over my body. I've never been this scared.
I can't explain it very well, it's really something you need to see to believe.
I really thought this is the moment I will breathe my last breath.
Anyway, I will write about that some other time,
I'm really tired and I need my rest the most right now...
All you dear caring people out there, I survived, I'm ok. I will not give up this early, this easily or EVER.
It's 2:55 am right now..
I just really NEED to tell you about Saturday night really quickly, I just came home after our gig in my hometown: Capelle aan den IJssel.
This was our first gig of 2009 and the first one in this area.
It was MINDBLOWING.
It was really crowded and the everyone just went nuts,
the audience kept cheering, screaming, jumping, singing and dancing.
Man, it was one of the best shows we ever experienced.
We got a lot of compliments and the people kept screaming for more, even after our encore haha!
Thanks to everyone who came to see us, means a lot to us. You guys where outstanding.
Oh and the best part, WE GOT A TOURMANAGER!
That means, loads of new gigs coming up for CN soon!

Soft clouds are surrounding me,
Rainbows wraps them around me,

Omfg, Could this get any better?
