Life Global Outreach is thrilled to share with you the next gospel mission in the works for February 2008. We are starting the planning earlier than we ever have because the Lord’s plans for this mission are the largest LGO has ever undertaken. We have a team from Neosho, Missouri, who have been charged with the responsibility and honor to organize a children’s ministry, drill a water well, execute a crusade-style presentation of the Jesus film, and bring a mobile medical clinic to villages throughout the Muranga’, Kenya area. We will again be joining forces with Bishop Simon Kaniaru and his wife Pastor Jennifer and their ministry at Deliverance Church Muranga’.Children’s Ministry
We will work with a recording professional and native Kenyan, both who attend our home church, to record 2-3 puppet skits in Swahili. The messages will center around salvation and The Great Commission. Yes, Life Global Outreach wants to plant seeds of missions in those to whom we have been sent as missionaries! Imagine a day when these Kenyan children begin to share the gospel in neighboring Muslim countries where it is difficult for Americans to go! We will leave the puppets and supplies to bless Deliverance Church Children’s ministry.
One of our team members, Della Freund, will work on this project.Village children do not have toothbrushes or toothpaste. Because dental health is important to overall health, we will provide toothbrushes and toothpaste for 2,000 children along with demonstrations for correct use.Water Well Project
This is our 4th water well. We will have a water well constructed that will supply clean, safe drinking water for hundreds daily. One of our team members, Craig Johnson, will work on this project.The Jesus Film
We expect hundreds, if not thousands, of Kenyans to walk from their villages for this open air film. With a film projection of up to 20-25 feet wide, it will compare to our old “drive-insâ€. Remember, most Kenyans do not have TV’s or watch movies, so this is a real crowd drawer. Praise and worship will precede the film, and an altar call for salvation and opportunity for people to receive prayer for healing will follow. We will leave the projector and plan to purchase more Christian films in Swahili to leave in Muranga’ as a blessing to Bishop Simon and Pastor Jennifer’s ministry.Mobile Medical Clinic
Phyllis graduated from nursing school in December 2006 and has a few months of experience as an RN now, so the ministry has officially expanded into medical ministry. Praise the Lord! We will take medicine and supplies into villages where Phyllis will work with a licensed ‘medical officer’. In Kenya, a medical officer compares with a U.S. physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner. This team will minister to the sick both physically and spiritually. Each patient receives a gospel witness prior to receiving treatment. Common diseases in the Muranga’ area includes HIV/AIDS, malaria, and typhoid.
As the Lord has allowed this ministry to grow and expand its resources and abilities to reach more souls with the gospel of Jesus Christ, we ask that you prayerfully consider how you can join with us to make this undertaking possible. We absolutely could not do this without the love, prayer, and support of our friends and family. Life Global Outreach represents the everyday believer in scripture. We are nothing special, it is Jesus in us who gives us the drive and passion to reach the lost, sick, and hurting of this world. God placed it upon our hearts to take the gospel to the nations.
