Growing up in Paterson, NJ Jermane tended to lean towards an older crowd growing up with his elder cousins, becoming an old soul. One day a cousin came to his home with her boom box blasting; she was blazing Snoop Dogg’s “The Doggystyle†Album. Restricted to listen to music with foul language, Jermane secretly snuck a copy of the album and studied Snoop Doggs every word. While growing up many other artists would influence Jermane in a musical way. Artist such as: The Notorious B.I.G., 2Pac, Jay-Z 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, The Hot Boys, Heavy D, Ma$e, Cam’ron, Lloyd Banks, Jim Jones, and others. In Paterson, the mix-tape scene became very heavy and Jermane became influenced by the raw material released from DJ’s such as: Funk Master Flex, DJ Clue, DJ Whoo Kid, and many others. At the tender age of 13, Jermane decided to take a crack at music, performing freestyles with local friends within the neighborhood. After Graduating from the famous East Side High, Jermane decided to trade in the gritty streets of Paterson, fro the country roads of Southern Va. Finally coming across some recording equipment to work with, Jermane has begun to break out of his fear of the M.I.C. and perfect his rhyming skills.
