J.J. Lightnin’ Blues Duo

J.J. Lightnin' Blues Duo is a band on a journey. Duo's sound is based on the delta blues but since we come from Finland there is also a touch of undefinable Finnish melancholy, a wonderment if nothing is ever gonna work? We hope this won't make you cry but stand up and try again. Somehow this mixture will eventually leave you with a warm feeling. It does it to us! We hope that our music will take you closer to the source. We give credit to all the past and present masters of the blues that made our music possible.
Please take your time to listen and experience the visual story of two restless explorers on a mission. It is an endless expedition to the origins of afro-american tradition called the Blues. To us it is a mental journey, to seek our own way to play and to spread Finnish Blues.
We travel light and fit in, even in the smallest of places.
