This band thing started out in 2006 when Corey and Jared met at a bible study (?) or something and found out that they both were into NOFX and similar bands. Corey was dicouraged at the time since no one in town seemed to want to play punk rock with him, so when he found out Jared played bass guitar, he was like, "Hell yeah." So they got together and showed eachother the material they'd been writing. Turns out, their writing styles were surprisingly compatible, and they immediately began collaborating on new songs. Time dragged on as they wrote and practiced with several different drummers who were all cool dudes but could not stay around for some reason or other. And that's our history. Now we've got a drummer who's pretty good. We're just a few dudes who like video games and anime and stuff. Musically, we draw most of our inspiration from '90s skate-punk like NOFX (obviously), No Use For a Name, Lagwagon, Strung Out, Pulley and other greats. But instead of rehashing the same old sound for nostalgia's sake, we invented a logical progression of the genre by incorporating progressive song structuring and creative key modulations while still retaining the staples that skate-punk is known and loved for; intense speed, youthful (juvenile?) energy, catchy riffage, and lyrics usually detailing the exasperation felt from living in a place that feels like a cookie cutter that you don't fit in. :( Aww.
