“Michel Pierre” was born and raised in North West London. Michel Pierre grew up in a large family where music was often prominent. Michel Pierre recalls that “In my family it was all about soul and reggae…..and Celine Dion!” Since then, music has played a big part of his life. As a child he took part in numerous modeling campaigns and adverts. He has also dabbled in the film industry, having worked as an extra in the critically acclaimed film Life and Lyrics.
For the past two years, Michel Pierre is slowly establishing himself as a UK r’n’b singer. He has supported acts such as MOBO Winner, Sway, at the Evolution of Youth Dance-Off Competition held at St Mary’s Football Stadium. Michel Pierre has performed at various student events at university and is gaining a growing reputable fan base. He has also worked in musicals such as Snow, Auroturo Oui and in the summer of 2008 is going to be in Buddy.
Michel Pierre’s musical influences range from Stevie Wonder to Christina Aguilera to Craig David. These musicians have helped nurture his music and are often the inspiration behind many of his songs. Michel Pierre is also a talented songwriter who has written all the songs on his demo and has written songs for other singers as well. His distinctive voice makes tracks such as Special Lady and Knight Rider very enjoyable to listen to as it replicates the vocal styling of the 90’s R ‘n’ B scene. Life has not always been easy; and Michel Pierre says that “Although it may sound cliché, music was a way for me to escape from the problems I had around me”. Talent bares no bound and as you watch him develop he will surely keep you interested and begging for more.
