Myspace Profile Tracker World Visitor Map black forest arms came about through a few different roads . the first and for me the most important one is my love of combative arts (fencing ,kendo, stick & knife fighting and so on) these have been a part of me since i could walk . the other is my love of movies .i grew up in a time when video games weren't as important as now. therefore my friends and I would have mock combat wars growing up in the suburbs and in the 80's when movie special effects were really taking off and when directors wanted to make different, non-commercialized moves unlike now .this was a perfect place for a kid that loved to work with his hands .my father gave me full access to his work shop .i began to remake all the cool things i saw on film, cartoons etc. i made swords ,shields, spears ,etc .since then the shop has grown and i branched off from wood--and now work with various metals and plastics .i have studied as a blacksmith and am a master carpenter by trade. unfortunately i no longer have the photos of the things i created as a boy. a few years ago through a friend terry Dow I met an acquaintance of his that was a film maker. he needed a fight choreorgapher and a weapons/prop designer for a independent film he was going to shoot .sadly the film was never finished after two years of developing the weapons and filming the fight scenes (which i choreographed as well ) but i am still creating and designing weapons for other clients , ranging from l.a.r.p.ers, to marital arts schools such as (terry Dow's academy of marital arts, combative street tactics etc..)so now you know a little of the passion i have and where it come from. so enjoy the pictures and drop me a line if you have a question or a comment .and as always send my any drawings or pictures of weapons or props you would like me to make and i will return an estimate to you MySpace Profile Photo Editor
