Claudia Chapa

Claudia Chapa, Mezzo-soprano, is pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Voice Performance at the University of Texas at Austin. Her roles have included Queen Aggravain from Once Upon a Mattress, the Sorceress from Dido and Aeneas, the Old Baroness from Vanessa, the Voice of the Mother from Les contes d'Hoffmann, Zia Principessa from Suor Angelica, Gertude in Hansel und Gretel and La Curandera from La Curandera. She will be performing the role of Mrs. Herring in the upcoming performances of Albert Herring at UT. Claudia studies under the tutelage of Prof. Darlene Wiley.
