The Cathedral Choir engulfs the listeners’ ear with a comfortable feel-good aura that is undeniable even by the toughest of critics.The Cathedral Choir is the brainchild of noted artist Bishop Eric A. McDaniel, Senior Pastor of The Lords Church Family Worship Center in the Bronx, NY. Bishop McDaniel founded the choir in 1999 and it quickly gained local notoriety as a force to be reckoned with. After the success of the first album “We Are Healed” the choirs’ reputation and anticipation for another CD grew.The Cathedral Choir has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Karen Clark-Sheard, Melonie Daniels, Lucinda Moore and Professor James Hall, Cheryl “Coko” Clemons and many others.The choirs’ latest release “RESTORATION” is a veritable gospel music collector’s item for both the singer and musician. It opens on a high note with “Taking It Back” featuring Bishop McDaniel on lead and runs through the gamut of urban, classic and contemporary gospel to the final track a cover of “Holy One” by Walter Hawkins. The CD features some of Cathedrals singers: Ayana George, Timetra Scott, Cyrus Scott Davis and Alicia Flakes as well as “The Band”: Reggie Young (Bass), Vaughn Branch (Keys), Daryl Young (Keys), David Brandon (Keys), Damon Mack (Organ), Garnet Walters (Keys), Andrew Swift (Guitar), Neil Sanders (Drums), Danny Ford (Drums) and DaiQuan Davis (Drums).The new CD is sure to be a great success and this choir is one whose dynamic vocal fortitude is only strengthened by its skillful musicianship.
