Built by George Barris of BARRIS KUSTOMS, CA for the 1977 movie, The Car. It is based on a 1969-71 Lincoln Continental Mark III. One was built of sheetmetal, and at least 4 to 6 fiberglass replicas were built but destroyed throughout various stunts in the film. The original is rumored to have been auctioned off to a private, European bidder and sold for a mere $2,000.00.
