Habits Are Good As Long As You Change Them Frequently

About Me

*losing my mind or gaining my soul* ************************************************************ Never explain--your friends do not need it and your enemies will not believe you anyway. -Elbert Hubbard-**************************************************** ********** Sounds so cliche but there's more to life than money. I like climbing trees and I like wearing a skirt and heels. Living breathing paradox in a nutshell. I talk shit a lot but it means I like you. I am hard on you only so you question yourself. I have a fascination for Cuba and a fondness for Scotland. Don't take me too seriously. I thrive on sarcasm. I don't like pretentious people. I have a rather large imagination. I have an infinite passion for knowledge and inquisitive people. I can't stand superficial people. Stimulate my mind and I'll love you forever. I like to surprise people. I'm weird, crazy, and totally sane. Depending on who you ask. I love foreigners. You have to be smart enough to play the game but dumb enough to think it's important*************************************************** *****

My Interests

READING, photography, watching things constant in my life change over time (albeit a building changing with seasons or a person close to me), dancing, foreign and indy films, AM Radio, doing insane things and baffling people (social experiments), National Public Radio, Globe Trekker Series, PBS, WTTW11, writing, spades, tennis, cultural studies, languages, linguistics, traveling, history (favorite is colonial America and South America), avocados, lofty ideals and obtaining them, red wine, camping, flirting, being real, making new friends, Cuban food, nature, art, people watching, a well told story, cracking people up, cheese, kids, animals, old people, the country, the city, skyscapes, a media revolution, the midwest, boys, meaningful tattoos, being thoughtful, the internet, road trips, rivers, lakes, streams, global politics, admiring those worthy of admiration, religions, making people smile, sound of wind in trees, quiet time, old buildings, my imagination, the smell of fresh print off the press, fuckin up the system, inspiring people, helping people, the first snowfall, wicked thunderstorms, sunny days in the middle of winter, new notebooks waiting for me to write in, allowing people to be an expression of who they really are, watching clouds drift by, gymnastics (!!!! I miss it so much), stars in the countryside, feel of running across fresh cut grass, maps, foreigners, trains that roar by in the night, closeness, winter snowball fights, running through sprinklers in the summer, learning, being a wild child.

I'd like to meet:

Reguar people with substance. people to take trapeze lessons with. Ummmm...yeah, and kids. their honesty is admirable. I have always wanted to meet a mapmaker. ************************************************************ *** myspace layout *********************************************************

I don't really watch anything religiously except Entourage and Grey's Anatomy but I got rid of cable and tend to watch local televsion (PBS and Chicago Public TV) which is really cool sometimes. I tune in when it's TIME to zone out after a long day of brainpower. I'd rather be reading any day.
