About Me

After meeting at Derby college in 2004, Chris France and Matt Robinson began making house and ambient tracks within their lunch breaks whilst studying for their BTEC's in Music Technology. After trying a variation of styles including techno, breakbeat and electronic rock. The pair chose ambient house due to their initial success with their first track, TV don't stop. A mixture of downtempo beats, synth hooks and a highly edited vocal paved the way for their second track, Escaping boundaries. This was in fact made for a college assignment and contained a vocal sample orchestrated around strings and a catchy guitar riff. The name AdHoc was decided by Matt after names like 'dirty gutter' were duly left to one side. Now both at university in west London the pair now mostly make music individually, Chris mainly though techno alter ego Telephonic. However creating more AdHoc tracks as a collective is taking place in the near future. More individual Adhoc tracks will also appear on this myspace page soon.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
