About Me

I'm very laid back, but there's a partier inside of me. I friggin' love music. I play trumpet and piano and I'm starting guitar. The gospel is becoming more a part of my life every day, therefore I am happier each day. I sing really loud in my really cool, almost dead, van. For further information, talk to me. Music:

Oh man: Music is the best thing ever invented! My favorite type of music to play and listen to is jazz, but it's all good. Clifford Brown was the coolest. I'm also in a ska band called THE SHIFTY PENGUINS. Check out the site at: www.myspace.com/theshiftypenguins. I'm constantly making up songs of many kinds in my head, but I completely forget them by the time I think of writing them down. It's still fun.

Movies:

The Princess Bride, Napoleon Dynamite when I'm not sick of it, The Emperor's New Groove, The Incredibles, Lord of the Rings, The Phone Call, Remember the Titans, Rudy, Aladdin, Fiddler on the Roof, Batman Begins, Spiderman, Beauty and the Beast (yes, the Disney movie), Cinderella Man, Van Helsing, The Pink Panther, and others. I like mainly action/adventure/comedy flicks (and chick flicks SHHHH!), and I also like making movies. I'm interested in film scoring.

Television:

When the best thing on TV is Kim Possible, we have a small problem.

Books:

The Book of Mormon is definitely the most powerful book ever. I wish I could read more books. My English class is getting me way into them but leaving me with no time to read. Hamlet is awesome. Existentialism is not. Things Fall Apart is wicked sweet, but it has a couple of cockroaches, so I didn't recommend it. The Metamorphosis has a big cockroach in it. Someday I'll write a life-changing book about what changed my life, I just know it.

Heroes:

I will not play at tug o' war. I'd rather play at hug o'war, Where everyone hugs Instead of tugs, Where everyone giggles And rolls on the rug, Where everyone kisses, And everyone grins, And everyone cuddles, And everyone wins.Shel Silverstein

What to say...

I'm just happy.  Life is crazy, but it all makes sense.  If something is going horribly, there is a guarantee that the worse it gets, the better it will feel once it's over.  ...
