About Me

Visit: www.thedusters.net
The Dusters originated in Nashville, TN in 1986. Steady gigging throughout the US in support of independent releases, eventually led to European tours. They would earn opening spots with such artists as Johnny Winter, The Georgia Satellites, Willie Dixon and John Lee Hooker. They also landed a national radio ad campaign for Miller Brewing Co.
The Dusters lineup consists of Ken McMahan on vocals and guitar, Nick Kane and Mike Scaccia on guitars, L. David Barnette on bass, John Ripley on piano/organ and B. J. Stokes on drums.
Nick Kane, formerly the guitarist with The Mavericks and a consummate blues guitar player, brings the flavors of Country and Texas blues to the mix. Mike Scaccia, the guitarist behind industrial pioneers, Ministry, trades in his heavy industrial tone for a chance to play some low down Delta Blues and Southern Rock.
The band is putting finishing touches on their latest recording, DELTA JUBILEE, the disc features legendary performers Pinetop Perkins, Eddie Shaw, T-Model Ford, J.M. Van Eaton, as well as, Cedric Burnside, Terry “Big T” Williams, Lightnin’ Malcolm.
The project was recorded deep in the delta on Stovall and Hopson Plantations in Clarksdale, MS, the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis and mastered in Muscle Shoals, AL by legendary engineer and producer Jimmy Johnson (Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aretha Franklin).
