About Me

NEWS: Currently working on the music to Federico Garcia Lorca's play "The House of Bernarda Alba", in a production of the Juilliard School of Drama, opening on December 10th. Israeli born Ronnie Reshef is a composer, arranger, and performer of concert music, music for theatre, films and media. After graduating from the Jerusalem Music Academy composition studies, Ronnie arrived to New York City, where she is currently studying for her Masters degree in music composition in the Mannes New School of Music. Ronnie played and composed music to some of the main theatres is Israel (among them the Cameri theatre, Haifa theatre) and composed the music for films that had a worldwide success and won international contests and awards. Ronnie's music was played by the top players and orchestras in Israel (the Israeli Philharmonic Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphonic Orchestra and many more). Ronnie worked for over eight years (since the age of 20) as the musical director of the Nissan Nativ Acting Studio, being in charge of the music studies in the studio, side by side to composing, arranging, conducting and directing the music and soundtracks to dozens of shows, ranging from experimental theatre to American musicals, and much more.In the one year that Ronnie spent in New York so far, her music was played in concerts, she got to perform her music and accompany a theatre show of The Hourglass Solo Lab, and she is currently working on a new show with the Living Theatre.Check out www.ronniereshef.com.From "Orzei-Mizvadot", Hanoch Levin's play that was performed in the summer of 2008 in Tzavta hall, Tel-Aviv, by Nissan Nativ Acting Studio alumnis.
