Numerous up's, unsurmountable down's, so many smiles, though at the same time an equal amount of tears. For every pro there's a con, for every voiced opinion, there comes another disagreement amongst him and a peer. Though Yung Stylez hasn't always been as big into music as he is today, life has been a struggle and the talent in which he posses' may be the only opportunity his family has to make a future for the upcoming generations.Yung Stylez was born GerQuia Abner on January 15, 1989. Based off the situation at hand, life was already planned out in the minds of so many on looker's. Born to Kelly Abner a mother who was only 15 at the time, her life was about to shift in a totally different direction than she had assumed. Fifteen years old, no job, raised by an aunt who already four children of her own, into a small home, living off the government seemed to be on a track following those who feld in the past years. This life was beginning to become the never ending fate of African Americans in the low income enviorment we see today.GerQuia soon would be accompanied by a younger brother and an even younger sister in the years to come. Knowing this life was beginning to kick in, so many thoughts began to drive him mentally crazy. Though being a young man he had always held so much inside and he rarely voiced his feeling's to anyone. Pushed to go to school by a mother who wanted him to aquire the life she felt she missed out on, she made sure he stayed as focused as possible. Though there was times where he just couldnt get enough of the ladies, and his father Phillip Moten always told him, these women are going to be his downfall.At the age of 13 GerQuia moved to a Detroit suburb where he finally got a taste of how it feels to be out the hood, though as for many like him, being out of his natural enviorment made him very uncomfortable around other people, one in particular his dad's fiance'. In 2003 after a argument between him and his father, GerQuia moved back home and was about to begin his second semester as a freshman at Saginaw High School.Being the new guy in school alot of things began going to his head, and the ladies were the basis of this. As school progressed, thing's were alright for once, until he gotta call from his father. His father called and wanted to have a bloodtest because his fiance' so called brought up the conversation. Following the test everyone anticipated the egg on his father's face, though there wasn't one. After sixteen long years this is what it wound up to be. No one ever spoke about it to one another, everything was just supposed to dissapear.In 2006 at the tender age of sixteen GerQuia brought a child into this world. Now this is where everything began going in a full circle, but he made up his mind that it was time to make a change. Picking up the hobby of music from watching numerous rap battles, the success of 50 Cent, and the dedication of Lil Wayne, he needed to find himself a dream and do his best to achieve it.Starting the pusuit of music he took the name "Hood Star" that a few people would call him and tried it out. With his Focus and dedication, he wanted a name that could define his versatility and depthful personality, and this is where he introduced the world to "Yung Stylez". Since then the grind hasn't stopped, teaching himself the mixing process of recording his own music, learning to create a beat from scratch and understanding that as long as you work hard and never give up, someone will listen and one day they'll recognize the devotion, understaning there is no way he can lose.
