29th May - Deaf Institute special!!!
We're once again joining forces with the Mind on Fire collective for the third of our Deaf Institute specials. This month we are very pleased to welcome rising electronica star Lone who is making his Manchester live debut, alongside local favourite Parkertron (ex- Fingathing ) who will be debuting his forthcoming solo LP in its entirety!! Also Cycloptic will be back for more of his unique visual installations! Check the youtube clip below for footage of his installation from our February event...
The Pinch was set up in 2005 by the people behind the fledgling My First Moth record label to showcase the output of the label alongside upfront music from around the globe. Since then we've been putting on events at a number of venues around Manchester and we've played host to some of the best local talent as well as a few special guests from further afield. Check out the previous guests in the band members section down the left hand side of the page...
Music wise you can expect to hear us spinning Hip Hop, Electronica, Funk, Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Dubstep and much more, and at selected events you can also catch some of the most forward-thinking live music around.
We're currently taking a break from our regular weekly nights, but rest assured we won't be sitting on our arses doing nothing... We're still going to be doing a few one-off events, and we're also working on some new releases for the My First Moth imprint which will be surfacing very soon... Keep 'em peeled for more details...
