CHI E’ SWAP!
SWAP! nasce dall’incontro tra MACRO, giovane artista napoletano e DaCh (Davide Chiarito/STUDIOVITRA) fotografo pubblicitario con esperienza decennale che dopo scambi d’idee e pareri analoghi sulla questione Polaroid nell’epoca dell’assuefazione digitale decidono di creare questa rete internazionale di scambi con l’intento di risvegliare la passione per un medium in realtà mai tramontato.
COS’E’ SWAP!
..SWAP POLAROID è l'evoluzione del progetto INTERNATIONAL POLAROID'S EXCHANGE nato dalla semplice idea di uno scambio di Polaroid.
COME FUNZIONA SWAP!
Partecipare a SWAP! è facile!
Fai delle scansioni alle tue Polaroid originali (jpg 72Dpi lato lungo 400px) e mandale a [email protected] verrà subito creata una tua galley personale. Da questo momento, proprio come le figurine, inizia lo scambio: segnalaci la Polaroid di un altro partecipante che desideri avere, noi gli chiediamo di sceglierne una tua. Lo scambio è fatto! Ora basta inviare entrambe le Polaroid assieme ad un francobollo ed una scheda tecnica che ti diamo noi a SWAP! che intermedia lo scambio per archiviarle e numerarle.
SCAMBIO
Lo scambio avviene mettendo in gioco nella propria galleria di immagini solo Polaroid originali personali e ricevute da altri scambi SWAP!. Le polaroid SWAP! avranno un valore aggiunto, ci auguriamo anche di mercato, e saranno evidenziate con un bordo rosso per renderle immediatamente riconoscibili. In ogni galleria, sotto ogni singola foto, verrà indicato il nome dell’autore. Lo scambio avviene sempre con una sola Polaroid per volta, anche se quella in gioco è già stata archiviata e registrata da SWAP!.
The Who’s of SWAP!:
SWAP! saw the light after a meeting of MACRO, a young Neapolitan artist and DaCh (Davide Chiarito STUDIOVITRA) experienced ad photographer who share a common view on Polaroids. Right when the world has just adjusted to the recent digital revolution they settle down to create an international swap web aiming to revive the passion for a medium which has almost disappeared.

…SWAP POLAROID evolves from THE INTERNATIONAL POLAROID’S EXCHANGE project which was born with the simple aim of swapping Polaroid.
The Rules of SWAP!
To take part to the exchange all you have to do is scanning and emailing your polaroids to “[email protected]”, your pictures will be stored in a special gallery in the “pics” section. After that you will be free to pick out your favourite polaroids from the other galleries and swap them with your ones. Once you make your choice, send your Polaroid to SWAP! along with a coin (1 euro, 1 dollar, 1 pound) and the enclosed technical schedule you will be given. SWAP! will then make it special by registering and sending it to the designated beneficiary.
Swapping
Swapping works by uploading all your pictures and the ones you received through swapping in your personal gallery. SWAP! Polaroids will have an additional value, hopefully also price wise, and be evidenced with a red edge so that they will be easily recognizable. Each picture will show the photographer’s credentials. Swapping takes place one Polaroid at time, even when the one in play has already been archived and registered by SWAP!.
