About Me

Thanks for checking out my page. :) This profile was set up to share my hobbyist photography.
My love for photography started early, I always had a camera of some sort and most of them were rinky-dink point and shoot. Still, I was frequently suprised at the results. :)
Close ups / macro shots have always fascinated me the most. Using the camera lens as a magnifying glass to what surrounds us and bringing out the uniqueness and beauty, that otherwise escapes us in our hectic lifes. Things not easily detectable by the human eye. Colors, textures, shapes, light and shadow.
I'm currently using aDigital CANON EOS Rebel XTi (400D) SLR.
For me, taking pictures has always been about the object. I'm an amateur but I'm getting more knowledgable in an effort to enhance the photographic experience. I'm making time for my hobby because I really truly love it. :) Somehow it has an almost spiritual quality.
