The Biography of Petey NatureGreetings to all and thank you for reading the biography of Freddie L. Cole,Jr. AKA Petey Nature. Well my family and very close friends have been calling me pete for years as my nick name. I was born at Salone Hospital for women in Harlem, New York on October 14, 1975. I was raised in the Bronx and loved every bit of it. We moved to Wagram, North Carolina in 1990 in hope of living a better life in the south. I was fifteen years old when we moved down south. North Carolina made me a man. I attended Scotland High School in Laurinburg, North Carolina and graduated in June of 1994. I'm a hustler for life just like my dad, but he taught me to be a positive hustler, because hustling is a skill. I started working between the ages of 3 and 4 years old as my dad ran his own business in the late 70's and all threw the 80's. I also went to Johnson and Wales University in providence, Rhode Island where I studied Culinary Arts. Over the years I've earned the rank of a Professional Executive Chef. I could have went Professional in baseball or football if I wasn't discouraged when we moved down south. I started getting into the streets and becoming a rebelling teenager. I'm the third born of four and I have one brother which is older, a younger sister, and a older sister. I came up in a home where my dad was always there with my mom and us. I believe that by them working things out over the years has helped me become who I am today. I'm in to all types of music. I wrote my first song when I was 12 years old after listening to "All the way to heaven" by Doug E. Fresh and the Get Fresh Crew around 1987 or 1988. I started doing reggae when I was 15 years old and mastered the craft as a born American. My mission and goal in life is to educate, teach, and reach the hearts and minds of the youth and my peers. I've been spiritually concerned and aware for a long time now about the same amount of time I been writing music. I've also been naturally blessed to draw blue-prints and never went to school for it. My influences range from Bob Marley, KRS-ONE, and a lot of others of the same level of teaching and the passing on of knowledge. The things I like to do for fun is fishing in which I've been doing since a baby in diapers. I mostly love all activities dealing with nature. I'm 33 years old now and don't plan on leaving my music alone. I'm also a proud father of three beautiful kids. My oldest is my 10 year old daughter Najah Yahmini Cole who lives in Brooklyn, New York. My two sons which are 5 and 6 years old live in Greensboro, North Carolina. My youngest son name is Immanyuel Cole AKA Yuel and my oldest is named Emmanuel Cole AKA Big Manuel. For me it's not about the money it's about the purpose and I hope one day somebody life will be changed due to the music I've been blessed to prepare. I'm all about the betterment of life for every human being regardless of sex, race, color, or creed. I'm very concerned about people and living a healthier life. May someone be helped in life by the music I create.
