Since I can remember, I have always had an appreciation for music. I grew up listening to oldies, country, jazz, rock and hip hop and I'm definitely an individual who has an open mind to all styles of music. I bought my first pair of decks when I was 17, and since then, have started a collection of old school hip hop, rap and much more.
Over the first couple years, I moved my booty from house to house, then to UK Hard House. By this time, I was living in San Antonio, and was a resident DJ at a club called Euphoria/Planeta Mexico for about a year. I worked with a promotion company called Digiworks who offered me different gigs, including underground parties. I also earned a degree in Audio Engineering at The Audio Engineering Institute of San Antonio.
In 2002, I moved to Colorado where I joined a band called Redhouse and performed in many shows during my time with them. I also recorded and produced a hip-hop CD for some local rap artists, as well. Following that experience, I decided to move to Seattle to obtain another Audio Production degree at The Art Institute of Seattle.
In addition, I have performed in shows with a rock band called The Downfall, located out of Kirkland. As an engineer as well as an artist, I chose to intern at Chop Suey doing monitor and front-of-house engineering to experience both sides of the show. For my latest endeavor, I am doing freelance audio work on a documentary for the high school football team, Arch Bishop Murphy in Everett.
Since my relocation to Seattle, I have DJ’d at The Premier, Contour, Chop Suey, Sodo Showbox, Juan O Riley’s, Wild Palms, Rendezvous, Watertown, The Uptown bar and Grill, Studio 7, and many others. I am also a rotating DJ to the company, Redbull, as well as a DJ for a rap group called Da Brix. In my years of experience, I have found it essential to be open to every side of audio, and I always seek to learn from every new project.
