Technical Author, singer, bass player, dad.
Born June 1956.
During late 60s had access to a free box at Albert Hall & saw Pink Floyd, Pentangle, Ten Years After, Country Joe, Stone The Crows, Jethro Tull, Renaissance, Deep Purple, Traffic, etc.
Left school with 1 A level and spent several years playing (bass guitar & vox) in bands - especially on the London folk/rock/Irish circuit (Crannog, Chanter, Brahms & Liszt, Joe Giltrap, etc.). Didn't make it, roadied for Adam And The Ants (Johnny Bivouac incarnation).
Became a chef, gave it up after a few years & went back to music - also worked as sound engineer at the Sir George Robey pub. Worked there with Miracle Legion, Martyn Bates, Men They Couldn't Hang, Roy Harper etc.
Wrote a book on sport and researched a play on Tony Hancock.
Had a minor upset & went into therapy for a year, ended up working in mental health and spent 9 years doing psychotherapy work.
Spent the past 10 years as a software technical author, raising a family and wondering whether I'll ever get back on stage again... I miss it...
Big aah for Jerry.
