Mark Pollard a.k.a L. Swag was born January 23, 1986 in the backwoods of Virginia. He started rapping around the time of 97-98 with his cousin Isaiah aka Doowop. They started their own record label called Homestyle Records on which they dropped two albums. To there suprise the label or albums did not take off to their liking so they decided to part ways.
Swag was also part of a group by the name of Yung Felons but they also didn't become successful. So he joined a group by the name of Clap Clap Mafia. Now Clap Clap Mafia wasn't just your ordinary group. Clap Clap Mafia consisted of talent that is difficult to explain. The only way to truely understand the talent and gift of Clap Clap Mafia would be to hear what the group had to offer for yourself. If you have 5 rappers who are hungry and willing to put there all into not just music, not just a brand, but a movement, your garanteed to have magic.
Clap Clap Mafia released a contraversial mixtape (Clappin' At Ya) which sold over 300 copies alone which L. Swag had less verses on the project. He didn't like what the group was turning into and what was going on behind the scenes of the Clap Clap Mafia so in 2003 he left the group to form his on record label by the name Get Right Entertainment. L.Swag went on and did his thang with his label where he had a lot of accomplishments. He worked with other artists around the city of Richmond and the local area. He worked on multiple projects with other artists trying to build his reputation so he could get his voice heard and the label which it was hard for him to do because he wasn't getting the right type of promotion.
So 2005 he decided to build his own studio after recording at studios such as Da Spot, Dedikated Studios, D&E Studios, etc. Local rappers Zone & Black Seed later joined Get Right after leaving Clap Clap Mafia. The leader of that label recorded a diss track on L.Swag and in return Swagga came back with multiple diss tracks. After awhile L.Swag goes on to forget about the beef to work on the Get Right Mixtape called "The Come Up". The project did good in the streets. L.Swag worked on other projects after that and soon did local shows with artists on his label after getting feedback from fans i recall one fan saying and I quote "L.Swag is the realest nigga i know and him and his Get Right Crew is going to be successful for real ya heard me its hard to find real niggas out here but he's the definition of that".
He is doing big thangs right now for his label so you best to believe this will they will not fail. Look out for him and his artists on future projects as well as a clothing line in the works. The line will be for ladies and men and he has a line coming out just for ladies called D'Lovely Jeans and for both men/women is called Southern Kulture Attire. ITS GOING TO BE A HOT YEAR AND MORE TO COME!!!
