Darren has been a musician, Songwriter and Producer for 17 years going all the way back to 1991, when his hardcore band "Elvis's Apocalypse" set up in his parents basement and bombarded his neighbours with loud angry teen angst ridden noise. He later went on to form Toronto Indie Pop band "Kat Rocket" and recorded 3 Cd's throughout the 90's. Kat Rocket garnered much critical acclaim and had many songs placed in 90's television shows "Nikita", "Our Hero" and "Straight Up". After many gigs, fights and ill planned tours Kat Rocket finally called it quits in 1998 just after releasing "Colours On the Inside" their 3rd and final CD. Darren And Kat Rocket bassist Paul went on to form "Catapult Recording Company" a production company who produced many local songwriters and Toronto based bands. Currently Darren writes, produces and remixes music as Hideaway Lights.
