Five Finger Discount är ett band mittemellan. För stökiga för bluesen och för bluesiga för punken. Ändå kämpar Vetlandaduon oförtrutet på och vägrar att anpassa sig.
Josef Steinwall (gitarr/sÃ¥ng) och Linus Sollin (trummor) spelade tillsammans i mer renodlade bluesbandet Malted Milk, men när det lades pÃ¥ is blev Five Finger Discount det naturliga utloppet för deras kreativitet. Med lika delar blues och rock ’n’ roll, en gnutta soul och en stor dos kärlek, levererar de bÃ¥de egna och andras lÃ¥tar med bravur. Gemensamt för alla lÃ¥tar är dock att det oavsett vem som är kompositören svänger som satan.
Five Finger Discount is band in between. Too much mess to make it among the blues and too much blues to make it among the punk. Yet the duo from Vetlanda stuggles on and refuses to adopt.
Josef Steinwall (guitar/vocals) and Linus Sollin (drums) used to play in the more bluesoriented outfit Malted Milk together, but as the band was put on hold, Five Finger Discount became the natural outlet for their creativity. Consisiting of equal parts of blues and rock ’n’ roll, with a little bit of soul and a large dose of love, they play material of both their own and others. Yet whoever is the composer, the thing in common is that the songs have a great groove.
